My work is luminous and dimensional.

I create gallery paintings, freestanding sculpture and public works of art. I am working with botanical themes in Portland, Oregon. Considering the language of trees and the natural world as my subject matter has offered me intrinsic opportunities to explore growth, change, and Impermanence. With a comprehensive understanding of building, materials and finishes I construct each piece with intention. Dimensional elements, live edges, and branches that extend the frame are seamlessly incorporated into my work. My works are durable, bold, aesthetic and eye-catching.

My body of work includes an exploration of several personal and comprehensive series. The Historic Series returns identified tree branches to their former likeness. The Penjing Series incorporates natural wood formations in stylized landscapes borrowing ideas from the Chinese art form. The Observers appear as animal witnesses to the lessons and beauty that surround our human existence.

I focus on a clean simplicity with sharpened intention, and a demand for balance. My deep appreciation for nature paired with my practiced and creative execution speak a visual language that is inherently inclusive, as the experience of nature crosses cultural, economic and social divides.

I currently have public art works installed across Oregon, Washington, California and Idaho. Please reach out to discuss showings, representation and purchases.
